An accomplished Media and Management Consultant, Ikiebe has rich and varied experience in public communication and the media – print as well as broadcast. For over three decades, he has worked to design and manage effective communications strategies for private and public sector organisations.

Currently, Dr. Ikiebe is a member of faculty, School of Media and Communication, SMC, of the Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, Nigeria. He has worked, at different periods, as Special Adviser to the Chief of General Staff and as Special Assistant to Minister of Information.

As a peace builder and activist, pastor, and a faith-based organiser, in the last several years, Richard Ikiebe has engaged in several non-denominational, faith-based initiatives to engage politicians and church leaders on the platforms of peace, ethnic reconciliation, and ethical politics.
