An indigene of Kano State, Abdallah Joseph Mohammed Baikie is a graduate of the Nigerian Military School, Zaria He also graduated from the University of Benin where he studied Engineering.

Upon graduation, he returned to the Military where he was commissioned into the officer corp of the Nigerian Army Engineers. He holds several professional registrations with different engineering regulatory and professional bodies. He retired voluntarily in 2001 from the services of the Nigerian Army in the rank of Major.

He is married with children.
